Make Love, Not War

Just watched a segment called Canada’s Weather Forecast – Fall and Winter. I don’t need to watch a 24/7 news channel to know….it sucks. I just have to look outside my window to see that these guys haven’t a clue. Must be nice to have a job where you can be wrong 90% of the time and still come out on top.

These same guys kill me:

New fall TV schedule. Just in: Will and Grace returning this fall. “Can’t wait” everyone is saying. This after the show was pulled some years ago. I guess we just cannot get enough of the gay lifestyle, huh?. Well, I think I’m going to pull my cable and stay with Netflix. Gawd awful TV these days. All hype and no substance. Holly’s Woody in the Morning people have to straighten things out, I would dare to say.

Canada is hosting UN Meeting in Nov about military peacekeeping, a gender neutral military, boots on the ground etc. Looks like Canada will not be able to attend its own meeting because of failed commitments to the UN Oligarchy. “Canada is making one promise after the other but there’s nothing on the ground so Canada is not delivering.” Trudeau couldn’t be reached for comment as he was sidetracked with discussions about this new gender neutral military with his new gender friendly Generals:

Climate doomsayers totally wrong in their predictions about “Irma.” “Maybe so” one of them said “It’s complex” another added, “but we know for certain that if no action is taken to forestall climate RIGHT NOW then the world is going to end in 100 years.”

Quote of the day: “There are specific Canadian laws that prevent dogs from governing us”…tell that to the Liberals. A dog’s day afternoon in Question Period.

Sometimes my faith in God is severely undermined: The Pope created a media frenzy earlier this year when he asserted that Islamic terrorism does not exist, with some critics suggesting that the Pope was stretching or even denying the truth for the sake of Muslim appeasement.

Slide 1 of 24:
It's been 16 years since the attacks of September 11, 2001. But for millions of Americans, haunting memories of that day are still fresh, and many lives were changed forever.

On 9/11, terrorists hijacked four planes and were able to crash two of them into the World Trade Center's twin towers in New York and one into the Pentagon.

The remaining jet crashed in Pennsylvania after passengers overpowered the hijackers.

A day that started out with clear blue skies ended with a mass of twisted, smoldering metal where the Twin Towers once stood, leaving 2,977 people dead in New York, Virginia, and Pennsylvania, along with the 19 hijackers.

September 11 happened almost two decades ago. One-quarter of Americans are too young to remember it. I have three kids who have no memory of it at all - they weren't born yet.

But we certainly don't want to forget, even as we get on with our lives and confront new challenges. So in memory of that day, here are 23 images that capture what no American should forget. And as someone living in New York City at the time, I can tell you what it was like to witness the tragedy as it unfolded.

Brittany Fowler contributed to a previous version of this story.
Yes all religions thirst for peace as long as it’s their peace and not your peace. Let my peace be with you…ALWAYS! Heard in Texas: “Yeah man I always carry a peace!”

“The end of the world is Nigh!” Some cultist was heard to scream. No, its hurricane season! Say it ain’t so Bill!

Berkeley is getting ready for its “free speech week” on campus by having its own “fire sale” on books:

Y’know, Make Love not War was not the rallying cry of the 60s that we all thought it was. No, it was just a hippy thought process that produced a lot of “bastards.”

That’s all for me today.

SJ…out…have a great weekend. Me? I have to go and vacuum the house and do my weekly chores.
