Though the monumental change took Canadians by surprise, experts predicted they would be far too polite to raise any opposition to the idea…sorry! “They’ll go along with it,” said one Trump transition team insider. “We’re offering them the opportunity to finally become Americans, which is what they have always wanted. They’ll be nice about it, because they’re Canadians. Sorry, I mean Gay North Dakotans.”

At publishing time, rumors persisted that Trump would also name Justin Trudeau the first female governor of Gay North Dakota.

Yesss.

I couldn’t agree more. So says the deputy leader of Canada’s NDP:

For decades Canada’s NDP have tried to distance themselves from  the Waffle Manifesto,  The Regina Manifesto, and of course Tommy Douglas’s thesis, The Problems of the Subnormal Family.  But it appears they have been reborn in the Trudeau government.

I may agree with the message behind his toilet talk, gutter fueled rhetoric but I do not agree with his linguistic methods. Surely there is a better way.
Heads squarely in the sand:
She is considered to be mentally ill, but there is apparently no evidence of that other than she is a committed jihadi, who wants to kill fellow prison inmates and lesbians in the name of ISIS. In a classic case of obfuscation, Canadian authorities don’t admit that there is such a thing as jihad, so they have to classify her as something other than a jihadi.
How about nutzoid? Hmm, just saying. She will probably be released into the public domain because, according to police, there is no case of mental illness here. Move on, no story.
Attention, heterosexuals. The word ‘straight’ has been deemed oppressive. To whom may I ask? They don’t tell you that? Please update your files and lifestyles accordingly.

A new poll in Canada suggests this. I am not surprised as Canadians are obsessed with all things American: in their culture, sports and politics. Yet we should be more concerned about democracy in our own country especially given our Fool on the Hill and the little piggies we call a government.

Lighthouse was a great Canadian band of the late 60s and early 70s. This song was a favorite of mine. It came out when I was living on a sailboat at the Ala Moana marina, Waikiki Hawaii in 1973. Sadly the singer of this song Bob McBride had a drug riddled life and died relatively young. Interestingly, this song, Pretty Lady, was on the Hawaiian charts at #1 for 6 weeks, right around the time that I lived there. Using marijuana may affect your ability to think and plan, study says

“Our study enabled us to highlight several areas of cognition impaired by cannabis use, including problems concentrating and difficulties remembering and learning, which may have considerable impact on users’ daily lives,” said coauthor Dr. Alexandre Dumais, associate clinical professor of psychiatry at the University of Montreal.

“Cannabis use in youth may consequently lead to reduced educational attainment, and, in adults, to poor work performance and dangerous driving. These consequences may be worse in regular and heavy users,” Dumais said.

Two of the University of Montreal faculty members could not be reached for comment.
