In Canada we are taxed to death. Consider this:

Federal Income tax;

Provincial Income Tax;

CPP Tax;

Unemployment Tax;

GST;

PST;

HST;

Property Tax;

Excise Tax;

Capital Gains Tax;

Land Transfer Tax – times 2 in Toronto;

Luxury Tax;

Resort Tax;

Tourist  Tax;

Hotel Tax;

Resort Tax;

Media Tax;

Regulation Tax;

Air Travel Tax;

Fuel tax (es) and ta da

The air that we breath tax…also know as the… CARBON TAX or, in reality…a tax on living.

A tale of two friends: Gerry Butts and Justin Trudeau | Vancouver Sun

“And Gerald, even though Mark Carney’s first name ends with a K and not with a C, he will not have a problem getting elected as Canadians are sooo effin stupid….hahahahahahahahahahahhaha. I mean…hahahah, me and my lefty buddies, hahah, ruled this post national state country for almost 10 years. Can you believe it Gerry? 10 effin years. Hahaha. I can hardly contain myself.”

“That’s a good one Justin. And we almost destroyed the country”

“Oh don’t worry Gerry, Marc will continue our good work. Those stupid. effin Canadians in Ontario, Quebec, the Maritimes, the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island will re-elect the Liberals. Count on it.”

“Let’s hope so Justin.”

“Well, I’m off Gerry. Got a job interview with the United Nations!”

We are screwing our young bigly Canada. They are leaving in droves.

Geesh: No wonder nobody wants to invest here. Net Zero? Net migration? “I am sooo out of here dude.”

Y’know it is so obvious to me, yet the NDP and Liberals just don’t get it.

The more governments tax, at all levels, the less productivity they receive as a government. Decrease or eliminate some taxes and watch productivity soar. And as it soars so will government revenues increase. People will spend more if they have more disposable income. It is that simple. But our governments, especially out here in BC just don’t get it.

    “Interesting perspective on the taxation system in Canada. It highlights the heavy burden of taxes and their impact on productivity. The conversation about politics and elections adds a touch of humor, albeit a bit cynical. It’s clear the author believes reducing taxes could boost economic growth. Why do you think the government continues to impose so many taxes despite the potential negative effects?”

    1. Because they just don’t get it. It is easier for them to impose another effin tax or to increase the ones that are in place.

    It’s interesting to see how the author highlights the various taxes in Canada, emphasizing the burden on citizens. The tone seems critical of the government’s approach to taxation and its impact on productivity. The mention of political figures and their policies adds a layer of satire to the discussion. It’s clear the author believes reducing taxes could lead to economic improvement. Do you think the government will ever consider such tax reforms as suggested?
