When Canadians talk about what to do about the current trade spat, is it too much to ask for the insane strategies, like cutting off electricity to the US, to be taken off the table? Or do we not mind cutting off our own electricity too?

According to documents filed with the B.C. Utilities Commission, BC Hydro imported 13,600 gigawatt hours of electricity in fiscal year 2024, at a cost of nearly $1.4 billion.

“It’s very disturbing that British Columbia’s now relying on 25 per cent of our electricity to come from outside the province,” Barry Penner with the Energy Futures Institute told Global News.

“Most of that’s from the United States…

I wonder if that comes from red or blue states Mr. Eby (Premier of BC)? Hypocrisy on steroids or we have idiots for leaders in this country.

Today we should honor the man for achieving Confederation, creating the Dominion of Canada, and uniting the nation from coast to coast with the Canadian Pacific Railway. 

My personal favorite Canadian national anthem. In the Navy we marched to this many times (along with Heart of Oak). It sent chills up the spine and brought a proud tear to the eye. Reaction was way more emotional than Oh Canada. The vets marched to his tune during WW1

I am proud of my heritage. Every person that lives in this country, in every region, must be treated equally. Until that happens we can be sure of one thing: continued chaos and societal breakdown.

If I was a Liberal MP I wouldn’t touch a Liberal leadership convention with the Peace Tower flag pole. I would either demand an election now with the incumbent in charge or leave him in power until the election has to be called and let him ride out the electoral storm.

Let’s bring our pride in country back.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will be spending $110 million in taxpayer funding on anti-racism and DEI consultants to fight what the Liberals consider the endemic problem of racism at the heart of Canadian society.

The minister of diversity, inclusion and persons with disabilities, (we actually have a minister for this??)Kamal Khera, revealed details during a press conference on Saturday. Saturday? Everyone is sleeping in!

I hope they start with themselves because this government is probably the most racist in all of our history.

Whitey Anglo  need not apply. I worked in Ottawa for 12 years. Unilingual Anglos are discriminated against at every level of government. All of the important positions are held by French Canadians. Ottawa is a proxy for the Province of Quebec. They run Canada.

Remember when Trudough accused all Canadians of that most heinous crime of genocide? That was the day that I no longer considered myself a Canadian under this narcissistic, virtual signaling ball-less leader. His understanding of Christian church burning was another blow to my sense of justice and rule of law in this country.

Three years after reports of indigenous mass graves triggered the torching or vandalism of 85-plus churches, no graves have been found.

His denouncement of antisemitism and support for Islam ensures a favorable outcome from two voting blocks in Canada. He lacks backbone and has no leadership ability.
