Things Go Better With………

“Things go better with coke.”

It would appear that Delta airlines and Coke didn’t expect the fallout to their latest marketing plan of passing napkins to frequent flyers to pass to other passengers in what they called their “plane crush.” “You never know they said.” Well the unintended consequence of this marketing scheme was the unintended rush to the washrooms, of which there were just a few. Delta and Coke apologized and assured passengers that additional washrooms would soon be a fact of life on their long haul flights. I can’t make this up.

Did you know that the latest progressiveness of the Democratic Party is to allow for 3rd trimester abortions up to and including the 40th week. They also believe that women should have the right to abort the birth immediately after delivery – if she so chooses. Yes, I am a staunch believer that a woman has the right to choose however there are limits and this progressive policy my friends comes down to infanticide – murder!

Senator Ralph Northam, the Democratic Governor of Virginia, exposed the Democratic Party’s position on long term abortion for what it really is: infanticide. The Democratic Party’s response? They found a old photograph of good ole Ralphy from his Medical School days dressed with another person in Black Face and a Klu Klux Klan outfit and put it out there for all to see and of course to destroy the Governor’s reputation. Bad taste and poor judgement on Ralphy’s part? Yes. Of course. But this occurred some 35 years ago when stunts like this were very common at University parties. And this coming from those tolerant, progressive Democrats.

The woman’s league of the party was not amused with the Governor’s remarks:

I hate hypocrites.

Does that picture remind you of something in the Dem’s deep dark past?

Meanwhile Ralphy has been forced to go back and reflect on the way he acts:

Interesting:

CNN’s response? Hitler! The devil incarnate. The speech was a disgrace to all liberal values, especially Climate Change and Global Warming and of course, the legality of long term abortions.

Meanwhile, somewhere in the Midwestern states and / or western Canada:

Lady of the Stones

I lived in Manotick, Ontario for over 11 years. It is a small village south of Ottawa situated on the Rideau River. I loved it there. The following is a poem that I wrote that tells the story of a tragedy that occurred at the newly constructed grist mill that was built in 1861. The mill was the focus of the village and provided Manotick with its wealth and prosperity in the mid to late 1800s.

The mill is said to be haunted today.

Hope you enjoy it:

The Lady of the Stones

When the moon shines bright on a cold winter’s night

As the wind frost chills the bones

While life is asleep ‘cept for the spirit that it keeps

Amid the cries and the wails and the moans

All alone in the night in the soft winter’s light

Runs a river that’s cries as it leaps

Over weir and some falls as if dancing it calls

For the lady of the stones on the wheat

There stands all alone from a structure of stone

A whisper of death and despair

A suffering soul who cries out for her beau

Lost, breathless, alone she will stare

A lady so pale in her death knell she wails

For her time that was so tragically brief

Her soulful spent mourns and her perpetual scorn

For her life that was wrought by a thief

***

Moss Dickensen came to this landscape whose name

Its mantle Ojibwayan speak

Of a land all alone in a river that roams

From Big Rideau to the Ottawa it seeks

Moss Dickensen possessed as Joe Currier confessed

Great insight and a vision to spare

One thing that he knew from this river would brew

Great fortune, great wealth and great fare

A partnership grew with Joe Currier, Moss proved

That a mill would be true to their dreams

A town that would grow from the natural flow

From the Rideau and land in the stream

The building that grew, stonemason’s cuts true

Majestic with a Scottish-like ring

The millstones were laid, then dressed and well made

From the skill that Tom Langrell’s hands bring

From the weir and the falls as the water is culled

By the timbers the current it bleeds

Directed through stalls, turn turbines, run sloughs

For the seed that a town dearly needs

Like grist to the mill old Manotick was filled

With millers and farmers and feed

Prosperity grew from raw powered hewn tools

From a river that flowed to their needs

Joe Currier was blessed with good fortune and zest

That he married the girl of his dreams

Ann Crosby did come from Lake George she did run

To the arms of her lover, she beamed

Yet fate has a way of having its say

When life is idyllic and sane

For the riches and fame for Joe Currier’s reign

Like the king of the Rideau in name

Yet on one fateful day in March so they say

In eighteen hundred and sixty-one

The first anniversary of the town’s new prosperity

On a day that should have been fun

Joe Currier is seen with Ann Crosby they’d been

From their wedding just one month before

Brimming with pride, a new life and new bride

His fortune had come to fore

With their wives by their side the men went inside

The mill had just started to run

The stop logs removed and the water gushed through

The turbines they started to turn

The shafts all-awhirl, the millstones grind shrill

The walls and the floorboards did sing

A deafening roar as the water gushed forth

Was music to the ears of these men

A danger in sight but blind to their plight

The couples they walked up the stairs

On the second floor stage, they stood in a daze

As the music did play through the air

Ann walked out in time oblivious in kind

As she looked at the marvels unfold

But mechanical whirls will tear off the swirls

From loose coats and those crinoline folds

Quick as a flash Ann faltered and smashed

Her head to the pillar and shaft

For her crinoline was caught in a running gear fraught

With danger and death as it laughed

Her cranium whacked like a walnut it cracked

‘Gainst the pillar and shaft and the gears

Her eyes all ablaze in a mad induced craze

Amidst the screams and the wails and her fear

The light of her soul dimmed slowly then cold

As the darkness had captured her being

Her spirit was lost to mortality’s cause

Forever to mourn at this scene

***

As the years fell away and the memories fade

And life carried on as it will

The turbines still turn and the millstones still churn

Like time, like grist to the mill

So stranger be warned of a town that was born

From a river and land that was tamed

By men of such strength that they went to great lengths

For some profit, some glory, some fame

For a specter appears from a window so clear

For lost lovers, lost souls and lost tears

Poor Ann all alone in her death spell she roams

Amid the pillars, the shafts and the gears

For alone in the night in the soft winter’s light

Runs a river that’s cries as it leaps

Over weir and some falls as if dancing it calls

For the lady of the stones on the wheat

More BS

English researchers say that the colonization of North America by European settlers in the 1600’s caused climate change and the little ice age. They state that these settlers were instrumental in indigenous extinction by the slaughter of over 56 million native Americans over a period of 100 years. They also state that by killing these native peoples that their farmlands were placed in dormancy and fallowed which eliminated or decreased C02 levels.

This is just more “Fake News” to expand the human induced climate change narrative. Why?

  • The native population of North America was never even close to being 56 million people in the 17th and 18th centuries;
  • Native Americans were more of the hunter gatherers, nomad types than stay at home farmers;
  • Europeans or US citizens didn’t even settle the lands west of the Mississippi until after the beginning of the 19th Century;
  • How can a small group of Native Americans cause climate change on a global scale? They can’t and they didn’t.

They take no account of the major Icelandic volcanic eruptions in this time frame that virtually covered all of Europe and parts beyond with a blanket of dust, which in turn decreased sunlight reaching the earth.

Don’t believe everything you read. Research these false claims. Shame on the “Hill” for covering this journalistic shyte:

“With regards to the population of Aboriginal people in what would become Canada at the beginning of sustained European contact in the early 16th century, estimates vary. Anthropologists and historians have, however, given a tentative range of between 350,000 and 500,000 people, with some estimates as high as two million. – 7 million in the US. There was a major population decline before the arrival of Columbus in 1492. Farming practices were nomadic in nature and based solely on subsistence, nothing more. It was the federal governments of both Canada and the US that introduced sedentary farming practices for First Nations in the later part of the 19th century.”

The  retirement age in Canada is too low and that is going to be a major problem (Maclean’s). Harper knew that and changed the retirement age to 67 from 65 –  a move that was implemented by many western nations. So blame Trudeau for this Canada, not Harper, as it was Trudeau who changed things back to 65 solely for election purposes, nothing more and definitely not for the health of Canada’s pension plans.

“Wiarton Willie” predicts an early spring. This famous Canadian groundhog weather predicting icon has only been correct 37% of the time over the years – low but much better than our professional overpaid weather witches who have been wrong 90% of the time!

Ontario's Wiarton Willie looks skyward to give us his prediction Tuesday that ends up being bad news for those looking forward to spring weather.Got any carrots, or Romaine lettuce?

Did you know that:

Takin Care of Business…Every Day!

Just in from Bloomberg:

The US is warning countries to stay clear of Huawei.

Of course Canada being so smug and so righteous about that evil doom slayer Trump that they welcome Huawei into their companies and homes. “Oh we know better so bring in your poor, your downtrodden, your dispossessed, your filthy rich bastards and we will welcome Huawei with open arms because that dastardly Trump is bad, bad, baaaad, I tells ya. He is evil… eeevil the weevil!

From the world has gone mad file comes this:

Actress Kate Hudson is raising her daughter as genderless. She has decided to name “it” Eunice. She is hoping that her next “it” will be a genderless “it with a dik” whose name will be Eunick, the “it dik” brother to his “it dickless” sister (I can’t make this up).

Woman’s humiliating job interview goes viral. Say what? She is pissed off that she got the job. “I was humiliated I tells ya. I dearly wanted to become a victim and that ass hole of an employer had the gonads to actually hire me. I feel, I feel…oh I don’t know…I feel…well..employed, violated. I guess that would be the right word here. It is a terrible feeling.”

“MoiAussie,” the French “MeToo” organization nodded their heads in agreement.

Duchess Meghan saved from a major fashion mishap. Headline? Why? Was she caught outside wearing clothes?

I can’t believe this is news!

US cities as cold as the Arctic. An Australian inferno. The UK covered in snow. Oh the horror of it all.

It’s only one month into 2019 and meteorologists are already talking in superlatives as extreme weather patterns have brought cities and towns across the globe to a standstill.

My superlative? Great!

Again, lets scare the beejeezus out of everybody. It is called winter in the Northern Hemisphere and summer in the Southern Hemisphere.

So fear not. It is only weather.

Insurance companies are purposely spreading doom and gloom and scary pictures of weather Armageddon. Why? So they can charge exorbitant rates for house insurance. It is a global scam…er… business now. And if the big (insert catastrophic event here) occurs they, the insurance companies, can immediately declare bankruptcy so that the average Joe and Josephine are hooped yet again. “Just takin care of business is all” a  genderless spokes- prick was heard to comment.

“Where is my yellow vest honey? And my shotgun!”

Just a Regular Guy

Hey, this headline from Toronto’s Sunnybrook Hospital caught my eye:

“Take a ‘Movement Break’ For Better Health.”

Of course my juvenile sense of humour kicked in almost immediately until I read the article to find out that they were referring to exercise as in…walking. Get off your butt and move regularly for better health.

Perhaps, but a strong movement break is exercise enough and one of life’s simple pleasures. Because when you gotta go you gotta go. Everything else is irrelevant. Just ask Einstein about his “Theory of Irrelativity.” Space and the time is all you need if you are constipated. And let’s not even talk about that. That is hard core exercise to be sure.

Enough of that. It’s Friday so let us see what kind of useless fluff is making the news today:

Come to Chicago they said. The view of Lake Michigan is to die for:

Love this. What was that old Nazi saying? If you propagate the lie long enough it becomes the truth:

  • Gov. Andrew Cuomo told reporters that New York did not have hurricanes in the past.
  • Cuomo also said Buffalo did not get 7 feet of snow, saying such events were part of a “new reality.”
  • However, Cuomo is absolutely incorrect on both those counts.

Notwithstanding:

New York has experienced dozens of hurricanes in the past 200 years, and there are even records of major storm strikes before 1800.

While this winter has been snowy in Buffalo, that’s nothing new. The city has broken multiple daily snowfall records this season and is within 6 inches of breaking the snowfall record for January — that honor is currently held by January 1977 with 68.3 inches.

But Canadians being so smug…the smuggest nation on the planet…that no matter what the science and weather is telling them…it cannot be true as it doesn’t fit the narrative so we welcome the new Carbon Tax. Tax, tax and more tax for we are the most taxing people on earth, don’t you know?

And this from the “Don’t You Know” file:

Most people think that Hurricane Katrina was the worst disaster to have occurred in the US and is further proof that Climate Change is real.

Well, they would be wrong. The Galveston Hurricane of 1900 was the worst natural disaster to have befallen the US…E.V.A.H. Check it out.
