Canada’s Feminist Foreign Policy

This is why our woke Prime Minister is nuts. This is part of his mandate letter to his new Minister of Foreign Affairs, Melanie Jolli:

GST on Netflix still a possibility as Liberals review ...

Yes, she is very attractive, but she went from the no nothing Heritage portfolio to Foreign Affairs. I guess that qualifies her.

“With the support of the Minister for Women and Gender Equality and Youth and working with the Minister of International Development, expand Canada’s efforts to advance gender equality and LGBTQ2 rights abroad. This will include support for the work of global feminist initiatives, relevant international institutions and civil society partners, including the G7 Gender Equality Advisory Council.

“Continue to develop and implement Canada’s feminist foreign policy with the support of partner organizations, and continue to be a global leader in championing the rights of women and girls in all their diversity, LGBTQ2 people and other marginalized communities. In doing so, with support from the Ambassador for Women, Peace and Security, continue to advance Canada’s National Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security, including by launching Canada’s 3rd National Action Plan, and build on Canada’s leadership to further this agenda on the global stage, including our support for the Elsie Initiative for Women in Peace Operations and for the full and meaningful participation of women peacebuilders in peace and security matters.

I didn’t know that Foreign Policy was gender specific.

“In collaboration with the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, continue Canadian leadership on international efforts to combat climate change.”

That doesn’t exist.

On her opinion re the two Michaels, Canadians held hostage by China for over two years:

(NP) Jolli did acknowledge that Spavor and Kovrig were “illegally and unjustifiably detained,” but, but, but, so as not to offend China” she also appeared deferent to the Chinese Communist Party line. “Of course the two Michaels are on bail according to the criminal law in China, and so we want to make sure we work that out with the Chinese government,” she said, as if China’s hostage diplomacy is a normal and routine legal proceeding.

On Bail? Are you kidding me? That is the level of incompetence that foreign affairs demonstrates. Of course she is a French Canadian avowed Liberal nominated by our Prime Minister.

I want my country back. Unfortunately Canada is now hostage to the “woke” movement.  Lester Pearson must be turning in his grave.

I am really starting to wonder what the real agenda of our government is with respect to Quebec. Do Canadians know that Quebec gets about 63% of all equalization payments and contributes nothing: $13B of the total $20B.

Hardly a word from our PM regarding Quebec’s controversial secular law re the wearing of religious ornaments; their recent announcement that French is the only official language in Quebec; and that Quebec is a nation within a nation. Yes, English is no longer recognized. Yet the rest of us have to comply with French.

Did you know that Quebec, as a non signatory of the Canadian Charter can demand amendments yet Alberta, as a signatory, cannot?

Why do you think the government is pushing hard for the provinces to partner with the Liberal’s child care initiative? They want to start the progressive, liberal, woke indoctrination of children at a very early age. By placing your child in this day care you will be handing over the nurturing and educational mores and memes to the Federal government woke standards. Basically, your responsibilities as parents are abrogated. You will lose parental control in raising your children. Do you accept this?

And then there is this. From Rebel News:

We really do have a “fool on the Parliament hill.

I wish that Canadians would grow a pair and wake up and vote this guy out when the next election is called. But somehow I doubt it.

SJ…Out.

Red Jewel: Notes

Red Jewel Notes

Red Jewel is my fourth book. I should have the draft ready for editing by Christmas.

Red Jewel is a work of fiction that is based on true events. Any relationship to individuals, who are alive today except for those mentioned below, is coincidental.

Saipan is a vibrant island of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana chain. It is the hub and government centre for the US protectorate. Its population as of 2017 was 47,565.  Saipan’s economy has had many highs and lows over the years since the war. Today, its economic base is tourism. Five casinos operate on the island. In spite of its size and limited available land, Saipan also has a number of golf courses. It also has a picturesque grotto, numerous caves and a beautiful and expansive lagoon off of its western shore. Managaha Island, which is located at the entrance of the Tanapag Harbour’s navigational channel, is also a favoured destination for tourists. Scuba diving is also popular.

Lao Lao Bay, on Saipan’s east coast was also known as Magicienne Bay during the war.

Saipan Is The Most Beautiful Place In America You've Never ...

Japan’s Imperial Force’s Admiral Nagumo was the Co Commander of the island of Saipan at the time of the invasion, June 1944. He is of particular note as having been in command of the Japanese forces in their attack on Pearl Harbour, December 7, 1941. Ironically, many of the Battleships attacked at Pearl Harbour were repaired and overhauled at the Bremerton Naval Yard and redeployed and formed part of the shore bombardment of Saipan against Nagumo’s forces during the Battle of Saipan. He committed ritual suicide, Sepuku, or  “Hari Kari” along with his Co Commander Lieutenant General Saito and staff during the last days of the battle.

A number of memorials and dedication areas can be found on the island, most notably at the Marpi and Banzai suicide sites on the north side of Saipan. The World War Two Saipan memorial is prominent outside of Garapan, near Tanapag Harbour, for its dedication and remembrance of the sacrifice made by the men of the 2nd and 4th Divisions of the Marines as well as the Army’s 27th Division. 25,000 marines and soldiers and Chamorro civilians died during the Saipan, Tinian and Guam campaign from June – August 1944. Many of the Chamorro and Japanese soldiers and civilians committed suicide by jumping off the Marpi and Banzai cliffs. The exact numbers are not known. Some estimates say as many as 8,000 people died. Others say about 1,000.

Ted Culp is the name of a character from my first novel Kurofune: The Black Ships. The character is based on an individual who hailed from Bremerton Washington and took part in World War Two in the US Navy. He passed in May 2011.

The events noted during the sail on Red Jewel from Honolulu to Saipan are fictional but are based on real events.

The sailing yacht Drummer was real. She was presumed lost at sea enroute from Hawaii to Alaska. The grounding incident at the Ala Wai did occur.

Clyde and Les are real life characters. Their adventures as told here were real. The couple from Omaha was also real.

Nigel’s early life, his acquaintances and his adventures on the Dart, the Mediterranean, and Granada, The United States and Vancouver / Vancouver Island area are fictional.

Somethins Happening Here

Somethins happening here:

What it is ain’t exactly clear:

Insanity:

A man who slipped and broke his back while working from home was “commuting” to work during his walk from his bed to his desk, a German court has ruled. According to the court, “the first morning journey from bed to the home office [was] an insured work route.”

Quote of the week. In Canada, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau:

“”Justinflation just in time: Canadian economic theory: more money for him, higher costs for everyone else.”

Got this from a friend:

One day a florist in Ottawa went to a barber for a haircut. After the
cut, he asked about his bill, and the barber replied, ‘I cannot accept
money from you, I’m doing community service this week’ The florist was
pleased and left the shop. When the barber went to open his shop the next morning, there was a
‘thank you’ card and a dozen roses waiting for him at his door.Later, a cop comes in for a haircut, and when he tries to pay his bill,
the barber again replies, ‘I cannot accept money from you, I’m doing
community service this week.’ The cop was happy and left the shop.

The next morning when the barber went to open up, there was a ‘thank
you’ card and a dozen Tim Horton donuts waiting for him at his door.

Then an MP came in for a haircut, and when he went to pay his bill, the
barber again replied, ‘I cannot accept money from you. I’m doing
community service this week.’ The MP was very happy and left the shop.

The next morning, when the barber went to open up, there were a dozen
MP’s lined up waiting for a free haircut.

And that, my friends, illustrates the fundamental difference between the
citizens of our country and the politicians who run it.

As Ronald Reagan said: “Both politicians and diapers need to be changed
often and for the same reason.”

If you don’t believe this, you have no sense of humor. Nothing bad will
happen, however, you must live with yourself knowing that laughter is
not in your life.

Freedom? Just Another Word.

This is insane:

OTTAWA — Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault says he wants a national mandate that would force auto dealers to sell a certain number of electric vehicles to be in place by the end of next year. 50% by 2030 and 100 % by 2035.

How do you spell social engineering? L..I..B..E..R..A..L.

Trudeau knows that with Covid vaccine mandates and passport mandates, Canadians will do exactly and whatever they are told to do. Our liberties are under threat by this government.

“You WILL get vaccinated, you WILL have medical papers and you WILL drive an electric vehicle.”

What is next?

Meanwhile, over in the UK:

Come to Mexico they said:

Cancun beaches get 1,500-strong military guard to protect tourists from drug gangs

Mexican marines with bulletproof vests, helmets and assault rifles — the ‘tourist battalion’ — have begun to patrol the area.

Tourists lounging on a beach in Cancun on Tuesday were surprised by a group of men in military uniforms zooming up to their beach on jet skis, sending semi-automatic gunfire into the air.
What could possibly go wrong?

Tunisia attack on Sousse beach ‘kills 39’

The gunman opened fire on families, couples and children. At least 39 people, mostly foreigners, have been killed and 36 injured in an attack on a beach in the Tunisian resort town of Sousse, officials say.

Tunisians, Britons, Germans, Belgians, French and at least one Irish citizen are among the dead in the attack claimed by Islamic State (IS).

But…but…but. It’s not COVID….whew.
