The Secret Cone Of Silence

Bernie Sanders says he doesn’t “feel comfortable” with social media ban on Trump…”cause I have no one to trash anymore. And, they may come after me next.”

“Let them eat cake,” so says John Kerry, Biden’s climate change czar when asked about the thousands of lost jobs due to Biden’s cancellation of the keystone pipeline. “They can all be employed making solar panels.” “Psst, John, eh John.” an aide said. “Yeah, yeah, what is it.” “All of our solar panels are made in China.” “Oh, well learn to code then.”

And how was your day?

New Zealand hospitals are overwhelmed and cannot handle things:

“Patients are stuck. They’re in corridors. They’re spending six, eight, 12 hours in the emergency department where we’re forced to try and provide them longitudinal care,” Dr Bonning said. “We do not have the latitude to do that.”

Some ED shifts were functioning with only two thirds of their normal number of nurses. We had to get out the Viagra as our Cialis stockpile withered.

BTW, this has nothing to do with Covid.

Biden holds secret meeting with “historians” to discuss how fast is too fast to push through his agenda, may end filibuster.

“This isn’t me you know. I am a secret after all. That is why I wear this mask. To hide who I really am.”

“Thank you very much, thank you very much.”

President Biden has left the building.

Imagine if that had been Trump.

Biden’s favourite song:

Hats Off to Biden

Very interesting. From Instapundit.

THE WORST SCANDAL OF THE PANDEMIC: Death and Lockdowns. There’s still no proof that lockdowns save lives but plenty of evidence that they end them, as I found by looking at the toll of “excess deaths” during the pandemic. Last year in the United States  there were 130,000 more deaths than normal that were not attributed to the coronavirus.

These excess deaths occurred disproportionately among the young and middle-aged, minorities and low-income workers — groups hit especially hard by the lockdowns. The toll has been especially high in locked-down California but not in unlocked Florida. The mortality rate among younger people soared in America but not in Sweden, where it has been below normal.  All of which confirms that the lockdowns are “trickle-down epidemiology” — protecting the laptop class at the expense of the working class — and constitute one of the greatest public-health mistakes in history.

Nuts? So says smug Canadians.

Biden’s Border Kids:

Where’s Trump when you need him…to blame?

What I learned at University:

Wife…..Ellen Kahn, the senior director of programs and partnerships at the Human Rights Campaign, explains why the term upsets her — and my — feminist sensibilities, noting that her ears “pricked up” when she started noticing young LGBTQ people using it. “As a woman, as a lesbian, as a gender nonconforming person, my coming of age is tied up in second wave lesbian feminism and so much of that ethos is around crushing the patriarchy or dismantling male supremacy,” she tells me. “So being a ‘wife’ was seen as this confining, limiting, almost belittling sort of term.” Oh those toxic males.

Poor you. No doubt she holds a degree in woman’s studies.

To me the term “lesbian’s wife” is an oxymoron.

It is like saying: “I am a lesbian trapped in a man’s body.”

Who would’ve thunk it? “People are the new dope.” Mexican cartels are seizing on Biden’s lax border policies to run multimillion-dollar human trafficking scheme and are using families as DECOYS to smuggle single adults and drugs from elsewhere.

Biden’s intent to destroy everything Trump did threatens mid east peace. Next up? US Embassy in Jerusalem set to move back to Tel Aviv.

Biden Torpedoes Abraham Accords Summit. The new administration turns its back on peace between Israel and Arab states (that Trump brokered) in order to pursue deal with Iran.

Why are the Dems so obsessed with Iran and the two state solution? Don’t know but they are playing a most dangerous game.

The video sucks but the song ain’t bad. Good Canadian 80’s tune.

Nawiliwili

A short excerpt from the book I am currently working on:

The water was warm and salty, stinging the eyes while drying the mouth with the salt laced water ingress. Deep, deep blue it was and I could see below well into the depths. There the water’s blue became darker and darker until nothing could be made out at all. All at once all I could thing of was that a wayward shark or barracuda, mystified and attracted to my pearly white torso, would make themselves known to me by a menacing dorsal fin breaking the surface of the water and coming directly for me. Give your head a shake Jim, for cripes sake. Yet it did put the fear of mortality into my very being and made me swim just a wee bit faster. Before long I caught up to Nina and arrived safe and sound, and in one piece at the wharf. We found a ladder and climbed up about ten feet to the top with the old weathered wooden planks that made up the surface of the pier. We sat there for a while close to a bollard, caught our breaths but said nothing. Nina looked at me, smiled a sweet, sweet smile but remained silent. I could detect a small but distinct tinge in my chest as I looked into her deep blue eyes. She smiled at me again. Her body glistened with the salt water droplets that covered her exposed skin in this afternoon tropical sun, soon to evaporate. Across and to the west of us lay Akaru among a few other boats and to the west of that rose the tall, green hills that marked the western fringe of Nawiliwili. It was beautiful. Nina was beautiful. All was right with the world.

“Y’know all I could think about swimming over here was that some big ugly shark had its sights on me.”

“Thanks for that” Nina said. “I’ll remember that on the way back.”

She laughed at me. “Sharks?” Her hand touched my forearm. I could sense that a connection was brewing between us. She smiled again. Looking out across the water, her blond hair looking much darker now as it hung in a matted wet cluster down to her shoulders. Cleansed and clean by our salted bath. She squinted, and then held her right hand over her eyes shielding them from the glare of the tropical sun. Her body had the colour of a light brown tan. Healthy and strikingly attractive. Her tan highlighted her looks and her youthful charm.

“That felt great.” she said. “We’ll have to get back soon though. I think I heard Nigel talking about going into Lihue for dinner.”

I followed her gaze. I could see Nigel placing a ladder over the side.  For our benefit I guess. Angie was still tanning herself on the foredeck.

After a few minutes, Nina, without forewarning, dove off the pier and into the water, heading back. I followed suit. In a few minutes time we were back at Akaru. Up a wobbly ladder, a “Jacob’s Ladder” I was told, and into the cockpit. “Welcome back” Nigel said. How was it?”

“Except for the sharks, not a bad swim” Nina said, as she looked at me then laughed.

We did go into Lihue that evening. Somehow we got ashore in our small dingy. Nigel had to make two trips – first with the girls then back for me. We walked the short distance into town and had dinner at some greasy mom and pop joint. Not very Hawaiian or tropical I would say. Nigel had his eye on Angie but she didn’t reciprocate his advances. Nina flirted with me the whole time but my pathological shyness and inability to interpret her womanly ways almost sabotaged those effort. After, we all just chilled and roamed around Lihue, a sleepy hollow of a place. Not much going on. There were some poster signs around town advertising the latest surfing movie or documentary, a very popular sport in Hawaii. Almost Warren Miller style short films but centered around the surfing world and not skiing. Soon, just after dusk we headed back.

Just Ask Yourself

Don’t ya just love the Liberals as they spend our money so liberally:

Canadian parliamentary system? In reality it is an elected dictatorship.

We’re all in this together? Oh really? Most medical bureaucrats in Canada make between $250-400K per years. One dude in Ottawa received an increase of $110,000 in Covid 2020.

We should change our timelines to read BC19 and C19E: Before Covid 19 and Covid 19 Era.

Love this from Brian Lilley: Canadians are living under a Doctatorship as most provincial medical officers, unelected by the way, are calling all of the shots in evert province: economic, cultural, mental and physical health and basic human rights. Who needs an expensive government.

Hi ho Silver…away….with you.

Who is that masked man? Arrest him as his mask is not covering his nose and mouth. On another note:

At American Thinker, Spike Hampson applies a simple test. He compares the combined covid death rates of the ten states that have never had mask mandates with the combined death rates of the 40 states that do have mask mandates. The result:

States with a mask mandate: 13.0 deaths per 10,000 population.

States with no mask mandate: 12.6 deaths per 10,000 population.

But maybe the problem is that some states waited too long to impose a mask mandate. So Hampson tried another test: the ten states that have never had mask mandates vs. the ten states that imposed such mandates the earliest. The result:

[T]he “bottom ten” outperform the “top ten” by a small but noteworthy margin (12.6 deaths per 10,000 versus 13.3 deaths per 10,000).

Do masks kill people? Probably not, but they certainly don’t appear to do any good. Of course, mask advocates could argue that the states that imposed mandates did so because they had more covid than the states that didn’t, and their numbers would be even worse but for the wearing of masks. That hypothesis could be tested, but given the pretty much universal spread of the Wuhan virus, it lacks any plausibility.

The best we can say for masks is that they probably don’t do much harm. Shutdowns are worse–equally ineffective, but with catastrophic consequences, especially for our young people. Other than Operation Warp Speed, our entire response to the covid epidemic has been a fiasco.

And yet we continue to place our trust in unelected, unaccountable, highly paid medical bureaucrats.

Yes, we are all in this together.

Aren’t we Canadians.? Huh? Well, aren’t we?

Say it all together now….COVID 19…..COVID 19….Masks are good…

Say it…C’mon now Canadians.

Just once in a lifetime…………..THINK for yourself and keep telling yourself.

It’s the same as it ever was………………………stop kidding yourself.

Corona-phobia

A year ago Trump was criticized to the hilt for referring to the Coronavirus as the Chinese Virus. Even though the virus originated from Wuhan China, he was branded a racist by the Liberal progressive media.

Flash forward one year to a Liberal progressive President:

On the NBC News variant tracker, readers can see states where variants, including the “U.K. variant,” the “Brazilian variant,” and the “South African variant,” are spreading.

Other outlets are also now reporting on a “California variant,” and “New York variant,” linking new mutations of the Chinese coronavirus with the location associated with their origin.

The new variant names can be seen across the entire corporate media landscape, used acceptedly without the allegation of racism attached by the leftist who made viral terminology about race in the first place.

It’s common practice, of course, to name new diseases after associated places or people. There’s the German Measles, West Nile Virus, Guinea Worm, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, Lyme Disease, Ross River Fever, Omsk Hemorrhagic Fever, Ebola Hemorrhagic Fever, Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS), Valley Fever, Marburg Virus Disease, Norovirus, Zika Fever, Japanese Encephalitis, Spanish Flu, Lassa Fever, and Legionnaire’s Disease, to a name few.

Hmmmm…………………………no comment.

Here’s a new one….Biophobia…the fear of being a biological male or female.

I am a Corona-phobian as I have the fear of catching Covid after drinking a case of Corona. A 24 vice a 19.

Have a beer Virus…er Iris.

I burned out my 8 track out playing Grand Funk’s “Red Album.” To a 19 / 20 year old driving a 1964 Impala this music was awesome. Drove from Toronto to Vancouver and back twice in that car back in 1971-listening to Grand Funk…loud.

Have a great weekend. Read ya Monday.
